Our beautiful parks and trails, golf course, aquatic centre, and many other recreational programs and facilities will appeal to our lifelong resident or visiting guest.
Redcliff is a community with a variety of neighbourhoods, from older charming areas to newer residential subdivisions. Wherever you might live or be visiting you will undoubtedly be close to fantastic parks, modern playgrounds, inviting trails, and all sorts of recreational opportunities.

Our Mountain Bike Trails can be found on Trailforks
In 2019 we are beginning development of a skate park for the Town of Redcliff. The initial open house was held for community consultation on January 16, 2019 and many people and families came out to show their support! If you would like to be involved please fill out a Volunteer or Advisory Board form and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This beautiful park is located on 3rd Avenue between 6th & 7th St. SE. It consists of 3.77 acres of large open space surrounded by mature trees. Developed by the Lions Club, with continued contributions, this is truly a gem within our Town and a great place for special events. Lions Park is also the site of the old Town water tower. Other amenities at the park include:
– 3 horseshoe pits
– Traditional playground equipment that was recently updated in 2012
– Water splash park (note that the water does not come on if the temperature is less than 19 degrees Celsius)
– Kitchen facilities available to the public (Contact the Community Services department at 403-548-3232 for booking)
– Picnic tables and a variety of eating areas
River Valley Park
This park is located adjacent to the South Saskatchewan River in the southwest portion of our Town at the bottom of River Road. This scenic area of approximately 3 acres includes young trees as well as mature cottonwoods, river cliffs, prairie lands, a picnic area, fire pits, washrooms, camp kitchen, and developed paved trails. Many utilize this park and area for fishing and enjoying all that nature has to offer by taking in our famous scenery while hiking or biking.
Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Park
Located in the 100 Block between 2nd and 3rd St. SE this mature green space provides a great escape close to the heart of downtown Redcliff. There are benches, a basketball court, as well as a memorial cairn dedicated to the memory of those veterans who have served our country and community.
Redcliff Riverview Golf Club
This 18 hole facility is truly a great asset to our community. With a fantastic reputation in the region and beyond for its great value, fantastic views, and fair test, Riverview is not to be missed by residents and visitors alike. To find out more about Riverview Golf Club visit their website.
Situated on a single town block the arena serves a variety of users across the region. Main users of this facility include Redcliff Minor Hockey Association, Redcliff Skating Club, Public Skating (sponsored by the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club), and casual rentals. The facility includes:
– 4 dressing rooms with washrooms/showers
– A new designated female dressing room
– Regulation ice surface
– Official’s dressing room/showers
– Concession booth
– Storage area for major uses
– Upstairs meeting room and large multi-purpose dividable room
This million dollar facility is situated on the 200 Block of Main St. It features a heated 25m outdoor pool with varying depths from 1m – 3.6m. There is also a heated children’s pool with a brand new water play structure. Qualified and talented lifeguards ensure the safety of all users as well as provide lessons throughout the summer. There are a variety of admission options available including a free Sunday Family Swim sponsored by the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club! Redcliff possess a network of trails that offer breathtaking views, easily motivating citizens to take advantage of them whether out for a leisurely stroll, run, or bike ride. Our trails also provide a number of benches, again to enjoy the views, as well as interpretive panels to educate users on a variety of wildlife and vegetation. Redcliff’s campground is located off Broadway Ave. next to the Ball Diamonds. With a total of 14 units, electricity, centrally located water, sewage disposal, and showers/washrooms our campground provides a great place to stop in for a visit while enjoying everything else our Town and Region has to offer. No reservations are required (first come first served) and the rates for tent sites are $20 per night and $30 per night for a camper, 5th Wheel trailer, or recreational vehicle (maximum 14 night stay). Off Leash Area
Redcliff prides itself on providing recreational opportunities for our citizens with four legs as well as two! While we certainly encourage citizens to enjoy our trails with their pets, we would remind them that almost all trails and parks within Redcliff are to be enjoyed by pets while on a leash according to Town Bylaws. The exception to this is within the Off-Leash area. We encourage owners and pets to take advantage of this area (see below for location) for wonderful exercise and companionship!Off Leash Areas.
